The WakeUp Foundation was born out of our civic activism in the fight against domestic violence. Our professional skills and selfless dedication to the cause are the engine of our work.

OUR MISSION

We work for a society where domestic abuse is unacceptable and women's rights are guaranteed.

OUR OBJECTIVES

We inform, encourage and support victims of domestic abuse.

 

We work on prevention and build social intolerance to domestic abuse and all forms of gender discrimination.

 

We work to systematically change public opinion by creating public awareness and education, advocacy and campaigning

 

We highlight all advances in women's rights by doing research, advocacy and campaigning

Levena Lazarova Managing Director
A journalist, publisher and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience. Co-publisher and editor-in-chief of the media outlets momichetata.com and otgrada.com, co-founder of Mish Mash Fest. Prior to starting her own business, she had 15 years of experience in advertising and communications agencies. Former Account Director at Champions Young & Rubicam and Ogilvy Sofia. Former Strategic Planning Director at Ogilvy Sofia and Managing Director of Ogilvy Public Relations. Winner of numerous awards including BG Site, Forbes Evolution Awards, Woman of the Year and more.
Preslava Fentham-Fletcher Development Director
A philanthropy specialist with over 20 years of fundraising and NGO management experience from the UK and Russia. Masters in Philanthropy and Social Investment, Bayes Business School, London, UK. She bringing her skills to Bulgaria to aid the fight against violence
Kosara Chigireva Operations Director
Co-publisher of momichetata.com and otgrada.com lifestyle media, co-founder of Mish Mash Fest. Manager of New Wave TTL Agency. Former Manager of Ogilvy Action and Ogilvy PR Sofia, former Media Director at Mindshare Sofia. Winner of numerous awards including BG Site, Forbes Evolution Awards, Woman of the Year, etc.
